People in distress due to BJP’s wrong vision, policies: Sadhotra

JAMMU, Sept 24: Ajay Sadhotra, senior National Conference (NC) leader and contesting candidate from the Jammu North Assembly segment, today said that the people of J&K are suffering due to the “wrong vision and anti-people policies” pursued by the BJP’s proxy Govt in J&K over the last decade.
Speaking at an election campaign meeting, organized by Gurnam Singh, Block president Jammu West in Janipur, Sadhotra noted that Jammu and Kashmir has witnessed rising unemployment, inflation, recruitment scams, inflated power bill, poor condition of roads, looting of Govt resources on the name of Smart City and no real development.
“The BJP’s misguided policies have only worsened the situation for the common people,” Sadhotra said, urging voters to demand accountability for the lack of progress, undone projects and scams. Click here to watch video
Outlining some of the party’s key initiatives, Sadhotra mentioned that the NC is committed to raise old age pensions from Rs 1000 to Rs 3000, increase financial assistance for girls marriages to Rs 75,000 from 50,000 of EWS, provide 12 LPG cylinders per family per year of EWS, and provide one lakh jobs for the youths of Jammu and Kashmir, provide Rs 5000 per month to elderly female member of each household of EWS, provide free 200 units power, free drinking water, free travel of females in Govt transport, legalize MSP for farmers and provide 10 kg rice per person per month free of cost. He emphasized that the party will continue to focus on improving the quality of life for every citizen and introduce more welfare schemes aimed at uplifting the marginalized sections of society.
Rattan Lal Gupta, Provincial president of J&K National Conference, also spoke on the occasion. He said that “the Abdullah family’s present generation will give a befitting reply to the BJP in the upcoming Assembly polls”.
