JAMMU, Sept 25: The office bearers of Dogra Swabhiman Sangathan (DSS), led by its general secretary, Hari Dutt Shishu, today joined the BJP during a programme organized at BJP Media Center, here this evening.
The new entrants were welcomed into the party fold by Union Minister and Incharge J&K Assembly elections, G Kishan Reddy, BJP’s working president, Sat Sharma, former Deputy Chief Minister, Dr. Nirmal Singh, Rajya Sabha MP, Engineer Ghulam Ali Khatana, and Media Center Incharge, Arun Gupta.
While speaking on the occasion, Reddy said, “It is not just joining but a magic and shows BJP’s growing popularity in J&K”.
Welcoming the new members, Reddy said that the Dogra Swabhimaan Sangathan, which has been raising voices for the interests of Jammu, has now become part of BJP and it will impact the results of upcoming Assembly elections.
Working president, Sat Sharma and former Deputy Chief Minister, Dr Nirmal Singh also welcomed the office bearers of Dogra Swabhimaan Sangathan into the BJP.
Among those who joined Rajesh Sharma Incharge, Suchetgarh CWC Member Dogra Swabhimaan Sangathan Party, Maninder Singh secretary, Udhampur, Surjeet Kumar Bhagat ex president, Municipal Committee, Nagri Kathua, secretary, Rakesh Kumar Sharma, Kathua, Dhian Singh Ji Incharge Nagrota CWC Member, Yog Raj Sharma CWC Member Hira Nagar, Mahipal Sharma, Kathua, Ashish Sharma youth leader Jammu, Jhanvi Gupta youth leader Women Cell Dogra Swabhimaan Sangathan Party, Vikram Singh Andotra CWC Member Kathua, Balwant Singh Mandla CWC Member Incharge Border Belt Arnia, Ramesh Chander, secretary Kissan Cell along with supporters which include academician, advocates, formers and youth leaders, local business men and others.
Meanwhile prominent leaders from different political parties joined BJP at another function. They included PDP district president, Dapinder Singh Romi along with his team joined BJP.
Party working president, Sat Sharma, Ashish Sood, Seh Prabhari, Ranjodh Singh Nalwa, president, BJP Minority Morcha, Santokh Singh, general secretary, Minority Morcha,  in presence of other BJP leaders welcomed the new entrants into the party  fold and said that party will further be strengthened with joining of new people.
