RAJOURI, Sept 26: One person was killed while another seriously injured in two separate road accidents in Kotranka and Kalakote area of Rajouri district today.
Reports said one person namely, Chain Singh hailing from village Ladiyot of Taryath tehsil of Kalakote sub division was going somewhere in an Eeco car bearing registration number JK11E-2517. He lost control over the vehicle and it landed into a gorge. Chain Singh got seriously injured and became unconscious.
Local people brought him to the government hospital at Taryath where the doctor declared him as brought dead. The police took cognizance of the case and after conducting the post-mortem of the body and completing other legal formalities, handed over the body to the family.
In another accident, a car with registration number, JK11G-3115 also met with an accident on Jaglanu road in Kotranka and fell into 30 feet deep gorge. The car driver was giving way to a another vehicle coming from the opposite side.
In this accident, the driver- Mohammad Bashir was injured seriously and was shifted to Rajouri hospital after first- aid in the local hospital.
