JAMMU, Sept 26: An unidentified man was run over by a train here in Bajalta area.
A GRP official said that the incident took place on September 25, 2024, when a 50-55 years old individual was knocked to death by a train near Tunnel number 01 (Jammu side), Bagh-e-Bahu Jammu, under the jurisdiction of Police Post GRP Bajalta.
He said the body of the deceased individual has been kept in the mortuary of the Government Medical College Jammu for post-mortem/identification.
Meanwhile, the GRP Jammu has appealed general public to identify the deceased individual.
According to them, the deceased is blackish in colour, and was wearing an Army colour T-Shirt and blue trouser when he was found on the railway track.
They have appealed the general public to contact on telephone numbers 0191-2474946, 6005784806, 8803701148 and PCR GRP Jammu helpline number 1512 in case of having any information related to the deceased man.
