Ananya, Mariya, and Shambhavi lead J&K to convincing victory

JAMMU, Oct 4: In a dominant display, Jammu and Kashmir triumphed over Meghalaya by 8 wickets in the ongoing U-19 Women’s T20 Trophy at Sanosara Cricket Ground in Rajkot today.
The match saw exceptional performances from bowlers Ananya Dogra and Mariya Noorain, along with skipper Shambhavi Rajput’s standout batting. Meghalaya struggled to find their footing, managing to score only 55 runs in their 20 overs after losing 7 wickets.
M. Singh was the top scorer for Meghalaya with 17 runs, followed by Natasha, who contributed 12 runs. The rest of the batting lineup faltered, unable to reach double figures.
Ananya Dogra emerged as the star bowler for J&K, claiming 3 wickets for just 5 runs in her 4 overs, while Mariya Noorain supported her by taking 2 wickets for 8 runs in the same number of overs.
Chasing a modest target, J&K made light work of the Meghalaya bowlers, reaching 56 runs in just 9.4 overs while losing only 2 wickets. Skipper Shambhavi Rajput led the charge with a solid 28 runs off 33 balls, hitting 5 boundaries. Alisa Jan and Bhagya Lakshmi contributed with 7 runs each. M. Singh took 1 wicket for Meghalaya.
