JAMMU, Oct 5: The Open District Level Speed Ball Championship 2024 concluded with enthusiasm at Bhagwati Nagar Stadium, part of the Youth Wave 2024 initiative. Organized by the J&K Sports Speed Ball Association in collaboration with INARA, the event witnessed participation from over 300 athletes. Shiksha Niketan secured the overall championship, while Lawrence Public School Sidhra and R.M. Public School finished as the first and second runners-up, respectively.
The event was honoured by the presence of distinguished guests, including chief guest Gaurav Gupta, BJP Leader, and guests of honour such as Vasu Aggarwal (Probationary DySP) and Kanuj Gupta. Their presence added prestige to the championship and inspired the young athletes.
Sunny Nanda, General Secretary of JKSBA, along with Aman Gupta, thanked all participants and guests for their support. Gaurav Gupta emphasized the significance of sports in shaping the future of youth and praised the event’s organization. The Speed Ball Championship marked the opening of Youth Wave 2024, which will feature various performing arts and sports events aimed at fostering a vibrant culture of talent and creativity among the youth of J&K. The event was hosted by Vanshika Manhas and officiated by a dedicated team.
