JAMMU, Apr 26: The Department of Youth Services and Sports organized Inter-School Tournaments at Arnia and Gandhi Nagar zones, here today.
At Gandhi Nagar zone, HS Gandhi Nagar beat MS Digiana by 5 points to win Under-14 girls kho-kho title, while in kho-kho Under-17 girls final, HS Khanna Chargal defeated HS Qasim Ngar by 4 points to claim the title.
The matches were officiated by Chanderkanta, Jatinder Kour, Dalbir Kour, Chamel Singh, Renu Bala, Mandeep Singh, Jagjeet Singh and Nazia Akhter, while the Tournament was held under the overall supervision of Jeet Singh, ZPEO, Gandhi Nagar.
At Arnia zone, the Tournament was held under the supervision of Harishi Kesh Koul, ZPEO Arnia.
In kabaddi Under-17 girls, HSS Arnia trounced HS Said Garh to win the title, while in kabaddi Under-14 girls, GMS Arnia got better of HS Trewa to win the title.
In kho-kho Under-17 girls, HS Trewa emerged winner and HSS Arnia claimed the runners-up trophy, while in kho-kho Under-14 girls, GMS Kool Kalan defeated GMS Arnia to win the title.
In boys section, HS Allah bagged Under-17 kho-kho and volleyball titles, while HS Said Garh claimed Under-17 boys kabaddi title.
GMS Kool Kalan and GHS Arnia won kabaddi Under-14 and kho-kho Under -14 boys titles respectively.
The matches were officiated by Uttar Saini, Ashok Sharma, Yash Paul, Kamal Singh, Mulkh Raj, Madan Lal, Chanchal Devi and Parsino Devi.
The Inter-School competitions also concluded at Miran Sahib and RS Pura zones under the supervision of ZPEOs Sarita Pandha and Hira Lal Pandita respectively.
