Taekwondo C’ship concludes, Vishal Academy bags overall trophy

JAMMU, Apr 26: District Jammu Taekwondo Association under the aegis of Jammu and Kashmir Taekwondo Association, affiliated to Taekwondo Federation of India organized 17th District Jammu Taekwondo Championship, which concluded at Multipurpose Hall, MA Stadium, here today.
Around 300 players/officials participated in the championship and showcased their skill to vie for the top honours.
Ranjeet Kalra, Member BCCI was the chief guest on the occasion, who while speaking lavished praise for the organizers for promoting this sport in nooks and corners of the State.
D N Pangotra, general secretary, JKTA was the guest of honour, while Gurvinder Rakwal, vice-president DJTA was the special guest.
The technical team was headed by Atul Pangotra (NIS) International Referee  and the officials included Rajat Thakur, Adnan Beig, Mukta Gupta, Shaizia, Sanjay Kumar, Rahul Singh Chib, Arvind Satti, Pankaj, Narinder Sharma, Nitish,
The Championship was organized under the chairmanship of Anuj Sharma, treasurer, District Jammu Taekwondo Association, while the closing ceremony was hosted by Sumit Chauhan.
Vishal Academy of Taekwondo bagged the overall trophy, while Harvest School and Humanity Public School claimed second and third spot respectively.
