Junior U-19 Badminton Tourney concludes

Jammu, Oct 13: The Junior Under-19 Badminton Tournament organized by Jammu and Kashmir Police at the Police Line Badminton Hall, Jammu, concluded, here today with great enthusiasm and participation.
Anand Jain, Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), was the chief guest at the closing ceremony. He distributed mementos and cash prizes to the medallists of the tournament.
The central theme of the tournament, “Stay Away from Drugs and Live a Beautiful Life,” resonated throughout the event, emphasizing the importance of sports in promoting a healthy and drug-free lifestyle among the youth.
In his address, Anand Jain congratulated the winners and participants, urging them to stay focused on sports to avoid negative influences. He remarked, “Engaging in sports helps in promoting discipline and health.”
The matches were officiated under the guidance of Sukhdev Singh, Anil Gurkha and other officials from the Police Line Badminton Hall.
In his message, the ADGP assured that Jammu and Kashmir Police is always ready to support and upgrade sports infrastructure and initiatives in the Union Territory, aiming to boost the morale of young athletes and steer them towards a bright future.
Among the others present on the occasion were Gulzar Singh Slathia, former Inspector General, J&K Police, Joginder Singh, SSP, Jammu, Dr. O.D. Sharma vice president badminton Association of India, Balbir Singh Jamwal general secretary, BAJK, Basanti Bhat and parents and Badminton faculty.
