JAMMU, Apr 26: An awareness generation camp was organized by the RER Foundation, here today in Muthi area of Barnai.
The camp, sponsored by J&K Women Development Corporation was attended by a large number of women belonging to the socially backward & minority classes.
Prof Indira Rathore, chairperson of the Foundation, briefed the gathering about the role of her society for removal of social disparities and also bringing the various schemes floated by the Corporation for empowerment of women to their doorsteps.
Mr Ravi from JKWDC, explained in detail about the corporation schemes and the available low interest loan facilities provided by the Corporation to the entrepreneurs.
Prof Rathore asked the women to come out of their homes and start an enterprise to empower them financially. The training aspect is taken care by the foundation.
During interaction, many doubts were removed.
