Science block of KU damaged in fire

SRINAGAR, July 4: The Science block of the University of Kashmir and a house suffered partial damages during separate fire incidents.
A police spokesman said that fire broke out in the Science Block of University of Kashmir causing damage to the Attic and Electric store of the block. The cause of the fire is being ascertained.
The spokesman said that fire broke out in the house of Abdul Hamid Dar son of Mohammad Shaban resident of Kursoo Rajbagh, resulting in partial damages to the house, which is on rent with a Private Security Agency under the name and style of United Private security. However, no loss of life or injury was reported in this incident.
The spokesman said that due to leakage of LPG cooking gas cylinder, fire broke out in the house of Ghulam Rasool Langoo son of Mohammad Ramzan resident of Kailashpora, K.K Moulla. The fire resulted in damages to the house hold items of Anil Kumar resident of Jharkhand an employee of BSNL putting up as a tenant in the house.
