Aryans Group of Colleges Chandigarh holds Shikara Race

SRINAGAR, Oct 15: The Aryans Group of Colleges, Chandigarh, hosted its 4th Shikara Race at the picturesque Dal Lake in Srinagar, promoting the theme of “Drugs-Free Kashmir.” Hundreds of tourists and locals gathered to witness this vibrant event, showcasing the cultural richness of the region.
The race was organized in collaboration with the White Globe organization and featured a ceremonial flag-off by chief guest Dr Anshu Kataria, Chairman of Aryans Group of Colleges. Chairperson of White Globe, Adv. Syed Junaid Sadaat, also attended, adding prestige to the occasion.
Winners were celebrated during a felicitation ceremony, with Imtiyaz Hussain Akhoon securing first place, followed by Adil Ahmad Sheikh as second, John Mohd Khan claimed third, Firdous Ahmad Khan grabbed fourth place and Ashiq Hussain Moti secured fifth spot.
Dr. Kataria emphasized the potential of today’s youth to lead the nation, praising Aryans students for their academic excellence and innovative spirit. He highlighted that the Aryans Shikara app has received copyright recognition from the Government of India. He further noted past innovations by Aryans students, including the “Solar Boat” and “Life-Saving Glove,” aimed at benefiting the local community.
