Senior J&K Taekwondo team flagged off for Nat’l C’hip

JAMMU, Oct 15: The Senior Taekwondo team from Jammu & Kashmir has been flagged off to participate in the 40th National Senior Kyorugi and 13th National Senior Poomsae Taekwondo Championships, scheduled from October 17 to 20 at the Rajiv Gandhi Indoor Stadium in Puducherry.
The team screening took place in the presence of Baljinder Singh, Divisional Sports Officer of Jammu, and Sahil Sharma from the J&K Sports Council, along with other dignitaries. Rajesh Pangotra, president of the J&K Taekwondo Association, expressed confidence in the athletes’ abilities to excel at the national level.
The men’s team include Shoib Khan, Vansh Rakhwal, Mohit Kumar, Ajay Kumar, Zaid Khan, Narayan Sharma, Achutam Dev Singh, Adnan Adfar, Gaurav Attri, Amit Kumar, Amandeep, Shubam Bagal, and Burhan Ud Din Khan. The women’s team comprises Tanvi Katal, Gunjan Kumari Bhardwaj, Adeeba Khursheed, Tabasum Nusrat Ali, Azmat Khan, Afreen Hyder, and Jagpreet Kour. The coaching staff features Anuj Sharma, Rabia, Sidharth Sharma, Pankaj Kumar Mehra, and Narayan Das. The team is determined to bring recognition to Jammu & Kashmir.
