RAJOURI, Apr 27: Nine cattle including two cows and a calf were charred to death in a fire incident at Morha Daraj in Budhal last night.
Reports said fire broke out in the cattle shed of one Balwan Singh, son of Dewan Chand at Morha Daraj last night.
Three buffaloes, three oxen, two cows and a calf were charred to death in the incident. The adjoining house of one Krishan Singh also suffered partial damage in the fire accident. About a dozen chicken were also killed in the incident.
The family members woke up hearing cries of animals but could not save them. The flames spreading towards one room of Balwan Singh’s brother- Krishan Singh, were however doused. The police party today visited the village and registered a case in this connection.
