SUCHETGARH, Oct 19: On the auspicious occasion of the birth anniversary of the 4th Sikh Guru, Guru Ram Dass Ji, MLA Suchetgarh Prof. Garu Ram Bhagat, along with DDC Member and senior Congress leader, Taranjit Singh Tony, jointly inaugurated the blacktopping work of the road from Sai Kalan to Nekowal in Suchetgarh. The road, which was in a deplorable state with numerous potholes, will be completed at an estimated cost of Rs 26 lakhs.
Speaking on the occasion, Bhagat highlighted the significance of the project in improving connectivity for the residents of the area. “Good infrastructure is the backbone of development, and we are committed to ensuring better roads and facilities for the people of Suchetgarh,” he added.
Notably, this vital road project has been sanctioned with the efforts of DDC Member Taranjit Singh Tony. Earlier, he has been instrumental in carrying out projects worth Rs 60 lakhs, including the development of roads from Sai Khurd to cremation ground and Sai Khurd to play ground. The blacktopping of the Sai Kalan to Nekowal road is expected to be completed soon, bringing much-needed relief to commuters and residents.
Tony shared that this is part of a larger development initiative undertaken in the region. He emphasized that the improvements would not only provide convenience to the local residents but also uplift the standard of living in Suchetgarh. He urged the administration and concerned departments for their cooperation in ensuring timely approvals and execution of these projects.
“Development cannot be achieved overnight; it requires sustained efforts and a clear vision. I am committed to continuing this journey of progress for Suchetgarh,” he added.
The event was attended by former Corporator Sham Lal Basson, along with several former Panchs and ex-Sarpanchs, who expressed their gratitude towards the leadership for prioritizing the area’s development.
