JAMMU, Oct 19: The Annual Sports Day of Model Academy was inaugurated here today. The event began with a bouquet presentation to the guest of honour, Dr. Renu Gupta, Chairperson of MIER, alongside chief guests Dr. Adit Gupta (Director, MIER) and Rupa Gupta (Joint Director, MIER). Nisha Kumari Sharma (PTI), highlighting the importance of sports in education.
Dr. Renu Gupta lit the ceremonial torch, officially declaring the Sports Meet open, followed by an impressive March Past by NCC Cadets, showcasing their discipline and pride. Mementos were presented to the dignitaries in appreciation of their presence.
The Sports Day featured a variety of athletic events, including participation from the Inclusive School of MIER. Activities such as the 50-meter walk, Kite Race, and various relays showcased the students’ sportsmanship. The event concluded with inspiring speeches and the Prize Distribution ceremony, celebrating the achievements of all participants.
