JAMMU, Oct 21: Government Degree College (GDC) Marh held a programme, aimed at fostering responsibility and leadership among students. The event was led by the college’s Principal, Prof. Dr. Rakesh Kumar Koul, with the support of faculty members and alumni.
In a symbolic gesture, alumni members, led by Atul Narayan Singh, President of the College Alumni Association, pinned badges on the newly appointed student council, acknowledging their roles in managing college affairs. The Presidium, which will serve as the student leadership body, includes Sushain Sharma (President), Nandveer Choudhary (Co-President), Rajat Sharma (Head Boy), and Richa Manhas (Head Girl), among others holding key positions in cultural, literary, media and sports sectors.
The event was filled with excitement as the new council members accepted the torch of responsibility and marched around the campus, signifying their commitment to contributing positively to the college’s development. The college Principal, along with faculty members, congratulated the student leaders and encouraged them to excel in their new roles.
The program was supervised by the Committee comprising Dr. Ashu Jolly (Convenor), Asha Kumari, Dr. Sheetal Sharma, Dr. Shakun Sharma, Dr. Priya Sharma, Surbhi Gupta, Dr. Ruchika Kumari and Rachhpal Lal.
