JAMMU, Oct 22: The 12th District Jammu Ju-Jitsu Championship 2024 concluded at the Indoor Sports Complex, Bhagwati Nagar, here today, with over 250 athletes participating from various institutions across the district. Organized under the supervision of Tarsem Sharma, CEO/Founder of the Ju-Jitsu Association of J&K, and Navneet Gupta, General Secretary of the Association, the event showcased the growing interest in martial arts in the region.
Randeep Singh, a social activist from Ludhiana, served as the chief guest, lauding the athletes for their dedication and emphasizing the importance of martial arts in fostering discipline, fitness, and mental strength. Guest of honour Tarun Uppal, a well-known social activist, also praised the initiative and highlighted the role of sports in shaping confident youth.
Special guests Ritika Slathia, Manager of JKSC Hall, Mukesh Thakur and Neelam Kumar, Principal of Kids World School, commended the smooth execution of the event and encouraged further participation in sports for holistic development.
