Inter-College Kabaddi C’ship

JAMMU, Oct 23: The Inter-College Kabaddi (Men & Women) tournaments for the session 2024-2025, organized by Cluster University of Jammu, concluded here today at GCW Gandhi Nagar, Jammu. In the men’s section, GGM Science College emerged as the champion, while in the women’s section, the team secured the runner-up position.
Dr. (Prof.) S.P. Saraswat, Principal of GCW Gandhi Nagar, was the chief guest at the event, and Dr. Vinod Bakshi, Director of Physical Education & Sports at CLUJ, served as the guest of honour. The tournament was organized under the supervision of Dr. Vinod Bakshi and Kajal Premi, Physical Director of GCW Gandhi Nagar.
In the men’s final, GGM Science College triumphed over Govt. SPMR College with a decisive score of 42-18 points. Outstanding performances from Tanuj Sayal, Vansh Sharma, and Akhil Choudhary contributed to the victory. In the women’s final, GCW Gandhi Nagar defeated GGM Science College by 36-11 points.
Dr. Romesh Kumar Gupta, Principal of GGM Science College, appreciated both the men’s team for their victory and the women’s team for their strong performance. He also expressed pride in the efforts of the college’s Physical Directors.
Several dignitaries were present during the event, including Dr. Sunit Dutt, Convenor Sports board, GGM Science College, Prof. Yash Paul Sharma, Prof. Neetu Raina, Prof. Abhinav, Dr. Amit Kumar Bali (Incharge Kabaddi Men team, GGM Science College) Prof. Preeti Verma (Incharge Kabaddi Women team, GGM Science College),Prof. Pooja Charak, Prof. Rohit Gupta, Ravi Kumar, Physical Director Govt. SPMR College of Commerce, Ramandeep Karalia, Physical Director GCOE Jammu, Shakeel Ahmed Wani, Assistant Physical director, GGM Science College. The match officials were Jasdev Singh, Ajay Wadhara, Sanjeet Sharma, and Kajal Saini.
