JAMMU, Oct 24: The Inter District UT Level Gymnastic Competition for boys, organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS), concluded today at the Gymnastic Hall, MA Stadium, Jammu. The event saw participation from 40 young gymnasts representing various districts of J&K. The competition was aimed at identifying the top talent for future state-level and national events.
The event was supervised by DYSSO Jammu, Sunil Kumar Sharma, and I/C DYSSO Jammu, Harvinder Kour, along with a team of experts and technical officials including Neeru Jablia, Honey Mehra, Kamal Singh, and others. The competition provided a platform for young gymnasts to showcase their talent and foster sportsmanship.
Medals and certificates were distributed to the top performers, with Deepesh Dogra of Samba, Hira Lal of Kathua, and Shivam Verma of Jammu securing gold medals. Harvinder Kour praised the dedication and enthusiasm of the participants and encouraged them to continue striving for excellence.
The competition for girls will commence tomorrow at the same venue, continuing the event’s focus on promoting gymnastics across the Union Territory.
