Hollow Promises

Sir,
Elections are going on in full swing and countrymen are going to choose the representatives of their choice. Each political party has an eye on power by hook or by crook in this murkier field of politics. They are least bothered by the common and mundane issues of the general public. Come elections and you are promised Sun, moon and the heavens but after the elections are over you are not provided even a straw. The unattainable, unrealistic, illusory promises are made in a flowery language which could hardly be put into practice. The irony is that even attainable assurances and promises are seldom translated into action. So it is the duty and responsibility of each and every voter to think at least once before casting their vote otherwise we once again get deceived by the false assurances and fake pledges of these political parties.
Yours etc….
