JAMMU, Oct 25: The Northern Command Inter-Army Public School Basketball and Volleyball Championship (Cluster A-B) was held at Army Public School (APS) Akhnoor, featuring teams from across the region in a vibrant display of talent and teamwork.
Geeta Devi, Principal of APS Akhnoor, emphasized the values of fair play and determination. Throughout the day, APS Akhnoor showcased exceptional performance, winning first place in both basketball and volleyball. APS Old Cantt, Prayagraj secured the Runner-up position in basketball, while APS Mathura claimed the Runner-up trophy in volleyball.
Diksh Beragi from APS Akhnoor was awarded best player in Basketball, and Amandeep from the same school earned the title of best player in Volleyball. Chief guest Brigadier Ashish Rikhey commended the event’s organization and highlighted the role of sports in character building. The championship concluded with Dr. Rakesh Chander’s heartfelt vote of thanks, celebrating the spirit of camaraderie and competition.
