JAMMU, Apr 30: The State Institute of Education Jammu organized a One Day Mehfil-e-Mushaira in Urdu here today.
Twelve students from the various districts of Jammu Division participated in the event
Tushar Kanti Sharma, Director School Education Jammu was the chief guest on the occasion.
He stressed upon the faculty of SIE to hold such programmes for bringing out the hidden talent among the young students H. R. Parkhroo, Joint Director/Principal SIE Jammu exhorted upon students to express their thoughts in such forums.
Shadi Lal Tengloo, FA Languages presented the welcome address while Dr. Rabia Naseem and Tahira Parveen Research Officer, SIE Jammu conducted the proceedings of the programme. Hamida Khatoon R O presented the vote of thanks at the end of the programme.
Hitakshi Sharma, student of class XI of Government Higher Secondary School Samba bagged the first prize while Nadim Iqbal Katoch of Hr. Secondary School Ramban got the 2nd prize and 3rd prize went to Sohila Banoo of GHSS (G) Mubarak Mandi Jammu. The other participants were awarded consolation prizes and certificates of participation.
S. K. Raina, S. L. Tengloo and Sarita Anand, Field Advisors of SIE Jammu acted as the judges.
