JAMMU, Apr 30: Semifinals position has been cleared in the Under-14 and Under-17 boys’ football competition of the ongoing District Level Inter-School Tournament in the disciplines of football, handball and hockey, being organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports, here.
Earlier, in football Under-17 boys quarterfinals, MHAC Nagbani crushed JK Public School by (3-0), KC International defeated Spring Dales by a solitary goal, KC Public blanked Heritage by (3-0) and Ashoka HSS got better of Jodhamal Public School (1-0). Ranjan, Gokul, Sahil, Vansh, Jigmeet, Rhythem Bhushan, Stanzin and Ranjan were the goal scorers for different teams.
In football Under-14 boys quarterfinals, GD Goenka trounced Heritage School by (2-1), Jodhamal Public School drubbed Spring Dales by (2-0), mhac Nagbani outplayed DPS by (2-0) and KP Public School got better of JP World by (2-0).
The matches were officiated by Bharat Bhushan, Kushey Kumar, Rohit Kumar Gupta, Amolak, Harjot Kour and Vajinderpal Kour.
Meanwhile, in handball Under-14 girls final, Heritage School beat St Peter High School by (3-2), while in handball Under-17 girls final, St Peter High School thrashed BSF Paloura by (6-1). Rishka netted 5 goals for St Peters.
In hockey Under-17 girls summit clash, BHS Simbal Camp defeated SOS Gole Gujral by a solitary goal to win the title.
Earlier, in semifinals, BHS Simbal Camp got better of HS Gole Gujral by a solitary goal and SOS Gole Gujral blanked APS Miran Sahib by (3-0) goals.
The matches were officiated by Amarjeet Singh, Harvinder Singh, Jagjeet, Gurmeet, Karanjeet, Mandeep, Harjit Kour and Sanjit.
The Tournament is being held under the patronage of Director General Youth Services and Sports, Navin Agarwal and under the overall supervision of Ved Prakash, Deputy Director Youth Services and Sports, Jammu.
