Thief nabbed with stolen tempo

JAMMU, Apr 30: Police today arrested a thief along with stolen tempo from Ware House area of the winter capital.
As per police sources, on April 26, Bhajan Singh, son of Ajit Singh of Nanak Nagar lodged a complaint with police station Bus Stand that he parked his tempo bearing registration number JK02AL-0221 in front of Trikuta Complex, Bus Stand and went to booking office inside the complex.
The complainant further stated that when he came back, he found his tempo missing from there.
Accordingly a case under FIR number 23/14 under Section 379 RPC was registered at police station Bus Stand and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, many suspects were picked up and out of them Mohammad Farooq, son of Abdul Rashid of Dhalori, district Rajouri confessed the crime.
On his disclosure, the tempo was recovered from Ware House and handed over the same to the owner after completing legal formalities.
Further investigation into the case in going on to ascertain whether the accused is involved in other theft cases also.
Police team headed by SHO Bus Stand police station Jatinder Singh Sambyal made the arrest.
