BOMIS Boys, APS Jammu Cantt girls lift Inter School Football trophy

JAMMU, Oct 26: Birla Open Minds International School (BOMIS), Jammu, concluded the JP Pegasus Inter School Football Championship for Under-17 boys and girls today. The BOMIS boys’ team emerged victorious over Jodhamal Public School to claim the Season 3 champion’s trophy, while the APS Jammu Cantt girls’ team won the finals against APS Domana, securing the winner’s trophy in the girls’ category.
Davinder Kumar Batra, Director of Batra Group of Industries graced the event as the chief guest, with Bisham Batra, Chairperson of Batra Group of Industries, as the guest of honour. Both guests were felicitated by the school’s Principal, Aparana Kohli, in recognition of their inspiring contributions to the sports field.
In individual awards, Ritika Sharma from APS Domana and Azeam were recognized as the best midfielders in the girls’ and boys’ categories, respectively. Usha from APS Jammu Cantt and Divyansh from Jodhamal Public School were honored as the best defenders. The best goalkeepers were Lucky from APS Jammu Cantt and Yashbind from BOMIS, while Kritika Sharma from APS Domana and Rajveer from Jodhamal Public School received the best striker awards.
Principal Aparna Kohli praised the players for their talent and teamwork and extended her gratitude to the teams, coaches, and match officials for their dedication throughout the tournament. The three-day event was marked by exceptional sportsmanship and a vibrant atmosphere, celebrating young talent in football.
