J&K fencers sparkle in 59th National School Games

JAMMU, Apr 30: Claiming overall third place in the event, the fencers of Jammu and Kashmir blossomed in the 59th National School Games, organized by the Department of Education, Government of Maharashtra, under the auspices of School Games Federation of India (SGFI) at Jalna in Maharashtra.
The team of vansh Gupta, Abdul Rafik, Rakshit and Uransh bagged sabre gold, while Teja Singh, Rajan, Javed and Rakesh clinched epee bronze. The team of Pankaj, Shubam, Chahat and Muzamil won silver in epee and the team of Javed, Koshal, Adirath and Karan bagged sabre gold.
The team is being accompanied by International fencer, Ujjwal Gupta as chief coach, while Ajay Kumar and Anthony Mattoo are accompanying the team as manager and coach respectively.
