5th District Ramban Taekwondo C’ship culminates

RAMBAN, Oct 27: The 5th District Ramban Taekwondo Championships, organized by the Taekwondo Association District Ramban under the Jammu & Kashmir Taekwondo Association, culminated here today, attracting nearly 100 athletes from various clubs and schools in the region.
The opening ceremony featured chief guest Prof. Bahar Ahmed Mir, who emphasized the importance of Taekwondo in building character and resilience. The closing day saw SHO Banihal, Ashiq Bukhari commending the participants for their commitment to excellence and sportsmanship.
Under the leadership of President Sohib Masroor and Secretary Yasir Ali, the event highlighted the values of respect and discipline intrinsic to Taekwondo. The championship also included a unified oath led by Masroor, reinforcing commitments to community service and social justice.
With expert guidance from Khelo India Coach Arvind Satti and Martial Arts Club Banihal Coach Mohsin Rafiq Wani, the championship has set a new standard for sporting events in the area, inspiring local youth to embrace Taekwondo and its values.
