BANDIPORA, Oct 29: The Bandipora District Table Tennis Championship organized by District Table Tennis Association Bandipora under the aegis of J&K Table Tennis Association and in collaboration with J&K Sports Council, concluded at S.K Sports Stadium, here today.
The event was held under ‘My Youth My Pride’ initiative and witnessed enthusiastic participation from around 50 players from across various categories.
In Senior Men’s category, Shoaib Khoja emerged victorious against Junaid Iqbal with a close score of 3-2. In Under 19 (Boys) category, Suhaib Rafiq defeated Muzain Zahoor, also with a score of 3-2.
The Under 17 (Boys) saw Zeeshan dominating over Abrar with a decisive 3-0 victory, while in the Under 15 (Boys) category, Peerzada Hamid defeated Usayd Halim Baba with a score of 3-1.
In girl’s categories, Umi Rumaan claimed victory in Under 19 by defeating Arbeena Gul with the score of 3-1. Meanwhile, in Under 17 (Girls), Suzain Mehraj secured her win against Shugufta by 3-2.
The closing ceremony was graced by the presence of Inspector Iftikhar Ahmad, SHO Bandipora, who served as chief guest.
The event was also attended by Faisal Ali Dar (Padma Shri) and Manager of S.K Stadium Bandipora, who were guests of honour.
