PAG XI thrashes Lucky CC by 96 runs

JAMMU, May 2: Principal Accountant General (PAG) XI thrashed Lucky Cricket Club by a big margin of 96 runs in the ongoing 2nd Jammu Tawi Premier T20 Cricket Tournament, being held under the supervision of Raja Vivek at MA Stadium, here.
Earlier, batting first, PAG scored a mammoth total of 184 runs in the stipulated 20 overs, losing 4 wickets in the process. Ritik Gupta top scored with 60 runs, studded with 9 boundaries, while Jatin Wadhawan contributed quick-fire 40 runs off 20 balls with 6 fours and 2 sixes. Sahil Bhalwal and Bandeep Singh chipped in with 28 and 23 runs respectively. For Lucky Club, Rocky, Rohit and Anil shared one wicket apiece.
In reply, Lucky Club bundled out for a paltry total of 88 runs in 16 overs, thus lost the match by 96 runs. Vishal top scored with 21 runs, while Surinder and Rohit contributed 12 runs each. For PAG XI, Sahil Bhalwal bagged 3 wickets, while Soumay Jain and Bandeep Singh took 2 wickets each and Anoop Mangotra claimed one wicket. Ritik Gupta was adjudged man of the match for his magnificent knock.
The match was officiated by Sadiq Hussain Malik, Sandeep Manchanda, Suhail Yousuf and Bunty Kumar.
NCC will take on Vijay Club at 8 am, while JCC will meet Vivek Club at 12: 30 pm tomorrow.
