Ananya wins gold as Jodhamal dominates in swimming

JAMMU, May 3: Host Jodhamal Public School dominated the girls’ Under-14 and Under-17 inter-school swimming competition of Jammu district, organised by the Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS), here today.
Jodhamal girls secured most of the medals in both the age categories thus made their presence felt. The medal winners were encouraged by Principal of the Jodhamal Public School, Tarlok Singh Bist, who was chief guest in the closing function.
The swimming meet held as part of annual calendar of activity under the overall supervision of Deputy Director DYSS, Ved Prakash Sharma.
Competition was officiated by the technical panel including Sarita Padha (ZPEO), Rajesh Sambyal, Rachpal Singh, Ravinder Singh, Mahadev Singh, Suraj Dev Singh and Harpreet Bhalla.

Under-17 yr: 50 mts free style: Ananya of GD Goenka, Ist; Stuti of Jodhamal Public School, 2nd and Ashmita of Jodhamal, 3rd. 100 mts free style: Stuti of Jodhamal , Ist; Navi of KC Public, 2nd and Barbie of JK Public, 3rd. 50 mts back stroke: Ashmita of Jodhamal Public, Ist; Shreya of KC Public, 2nd and Epista of Presentation Convent, 3rd. 50 mts breast stroke: Epista of Presentation Convent, Ist; Pramati of KC Public, 2nd and Mehak of Jodhamal Public, 3rd.
