JAMMU, Nov 6: The J&K UT Roller Skating Championship concluded at MA Stadium in Jammu. The three-day event witnessed remarkable performances by skaters across multiple age categories, with over 200 participants competed in various events.
The closing ceremony was graced by chief guest Rajinder Singh Tara, Director General of Youth Services and Sports, J&K. Other esteemed guests, including Baljinder Pal Singh, Divisional Sports Officer-Jammu, and Suraj Bhan Singh, Manager of Indoor Stadium, honored the winners and runners-up with medals and awards.
In the 500m Quad Professional Skates category, top performers included Kavish, who won Gold in the 5-7 years boys group, with Sehraj and Ransher Wazir taking Silver and Bronze, respectively. Anshika clinched Gold in the girls’ group, followed by Medhasvi with Silver and Aanya with Bronze. In the 7-9 years boys, Avikam won Gold, Riyansh took Silver, and Vivan earned Bronze, while Kavya, Nysha, and Aadhya were the top three in the girls’ group. Rudraksh won Gold in the 9-11 years boys’ category, with Gurtej and Harsh following, while Anshika again led the girls, with Harseersat and Sumanya Saini winning Silver and Bronze, respectively. In the 11-14 years category, Puneesh won Gold, followed by Adwait and Viraj in the boys’ group, and Adhira, Pearl Suri, and Anandani in the girls’ group. For the 14-17 years group, Arshjoot and Sanvi took Gold in their respective categories. In the Above 17 years group, Rajveer won Gold in the boys’ category, with Diya winning Silver and Nisha Bronze in the girls’ group.
In the 500m Inline Professional Skates, the 5-7 years boys’ winners were Mohd. Zaheen (Gold), Shivaay (Silver), and Irfan (Bronze). Kamakshi won Gold in the girls’ group, with Haneet and Anaya in second and third place. In the 7-9 years category, Pavit, Akshan, and Nalinaksh were the top three boys, while Samaira Gandotra, Zyra, and Samaira Mahajan led in the girls’ category. Tabish, Mridul, and Aayan were the top three in the 9-11 years boys’ group, while Meera, Hooriya, and Zunaira excelled in the girls’ event. The 11-14 years boys’ group saw Vidhan win Gold, with Ashwinder and Aarav taking Silver and Bronze, while Kanan, Aaira, and Abhilasha topped the girls’ category. In the 14-17 years category, Lakshyaveer took Gold, Arnav Singh Silver, and Medansh Bronze for the boys, while Tamanna secured Bronze in the girls’ group. In the Above 17 year’s category, Vanshaj won Gold, with Sarthak taking Silver and Uplaksh Bronze.
