JAMMU, Nov 6: Rohini Aima, Principal cum Vice-Chairperson of Jammu Sanskriti School (JSS), Jammu, was honoured at the CBSE’s launch event for the Child Protection and Legal Literacy Manuals held at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.
Organized by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), this program highlighted critical issues in child protection, legal literacy and psychological well-being within educational institutions across India.
The event, titled “Promoting Child Protection, Legal Literacy (The POCSO Act), and Psychological Well-Being: Emerging Challenges, Promoting Best Practices,” covered essential topics including the POCSO Act 2012, Juvenile Justice Act 2015, and broader child rights issues.
Rohini Aima’s significant contribution to the development of CBSE’s POCSO Act Manual underscored her commitment to equipping schools with tools to protect children and promote mental and emotional well-being.
Her active participation in the capacity-building sessions for teachers, counselors, and peer educators demonstrated her dedication to child protection laws and adolescent well-being. During the event, prominent dignitaries such as Sanjay Kumar, Secretary of the Ministry of Education, Rahul Singh, Chairperson CBSE, and other senior officials applauded her efforts.
Aima emphasized the need for collaborative efforts among schools, parents and policymakers to ensure child safety. She reaffirmed Jammu Sanskriti School’s commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive environment and pledged to continue raising awareness about child rights and the importance of mental well-being.
