ADGP reviews security preparedness in Doda

JAMMU, Nov 7: Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Jammu Zone, Anand Jain, today visited district Doda to assess the security preparedness and review the law and order situation in the district.
He was accompanied by DIG DKR Range Shridhar Patil and DIG Training (PHQ) Sarah Rizvi.
During the visit, ADGP Jain received a comprehensive briefing from SSP Doda Mohammad Aslam on the security scenario and challenges in the district.
Emphasizing the need for heightened vigilance, Jain urged proactive measures to thwart any potential disruptions by anti-national elements.
ADGP Jain directed the officers to enhance intelligence gathering and sharing systems to preempt security threats.
He also emphasized the importance of gathering solid electronic and circumstantial evidence to expedite case resolutions, particularly in cases under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA) and the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
In addressing public safety, the ADGP highlighted the need for campaigns targeting traffic violations, particularly overloading and speeding, which are frequent causes of accidents in Doda’s hilly terrain.
Jain also met with members of the Special Operations Group (SOG), commending their hard work and assuring them of continued support with updated equipment and weaponry to bolster their operational effectiveness.
He stressed the importance of a strong intelligence network and coordinated efforts to counter any threats.
Later, ADGP Jain chaired a joint meeting with officers from the Army, paramilitary forces, and district police, focusing on key areas such as intelligence analysis, operational readiness, and community engagement.
He praised the Doda police for their efforts in maintaining law and order and urged them to uphold high standards of professionalism.
