JAMMU, Nov 8: Retired Police and Anti-Narcotics Trust organized the J&KUT Powerlifting Championship at the Fitness Club, Rehari Colony, here today.
The event aimed to promote fitness and send a strong message to youth about the dangers of drug abuse. SSP (Retd) SR Dutta was the chief guest of the event who emphasized the message, “Say No to Drugs, Say Yes to Life,” urging young people to choose a healthy, drug-free lifestyle.
National Coach Pankaj Datta presented the medals and cash prizes to the winners. The overall champion of the event was Manik Bakshi, who secured the gold medal and took home a cash prize of Rs 11,000 along with a trophy. Yashas won the silver medal, while Vivas secured the bronze.
The event witnessed active participation from local athletes, further strengthening the commitment to fitness and health, while also raising awareness about the importance of staying away from narcotics.
