JAMMU, Nov 9: JK Montessorie School (JKMS) hosted a vibrant Inter-School Singing Competition, part of the Youth Talent Search, bringing together students from various schools to celebrate musical talent and creativity.
The event saw distinguished guests in attendance, including Madhvi Sharma, senior broadcaster at All India Radio, who served as the chief guest. Other honored attendees included Sanjeev Gupta (Chairperson JKMS), Rajni Gupta (Director JKMS), Apurv Gupta (Dean Academics, JKMS), Ojesvy Gupta, Prabha Jain (Chairperson, New Era Environmental High School), Esther William (Principal, Alexander School), Neeru Puri (S.D. Tarapuri School), Usha Jamwal (Principal, BHMP), Anku Charak (Vice Principal, Humanity Public School), Vasudha (Managing Director, Elite School), Mala Sharma (Chairperson, Elite Public School), along with judges Ramesh Parwana and Yashpalyashi.
The program began with the traditional lighting of the lamp, followed by floral welcomes for the dignitaries. Participants captivated the audience with outstanding performances, judged on vocal quality, harmony, stage presence, and overall impact. The event provided young vocalists with an opportunity to build confidence, teamwork, and cultural appreciation.
Madhvi Sharma commended the students and staff for their dedication, highlighting the importance of balancing academics with extracurricular pursuits. She expressed her gratitude to the school management for supporting the arts through such competitions.
The program concluded with awards and certificates distributed to all participants. Humanity Public School secured first place, Alexander Memorial School earned second, and Bikram Memorial High School achieved third, marking the event as a memorable celebration of young musical talent.
