JKPA highlights demands

DODA, May 5: Jammu and Kashmir Pharmacist Association (JKPA) today highlighted demands in its meeting held here at Old District Hospital, Doda.
The meeting held under the chairmanship of State senior vice-president, Hushiar Singh Rukwal, was attended by ISM pharmacists also.
While addressing the meeting Rukwal stressed upon the Govt to fulfill their genuine demands including recognition of J&K State Pharmacy Council by Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), monetary base promotional avenues from pharmacist to Pharmacy Director (8-Tier Promotions) with reforms in entry Pay Band as Rs 9300-34800 with Grade Pay of Rs 4200 after two years of service, inclusion of Pharmacist in State Drugs & Food Organization department through advance training programme (ATP) or Bridge Course of B-Pharma.
Rukwal also demanded immediate rectification of 2005 re-organisation order, fixing Diploma Pharmacy as minimum qualification for chemists, immediate regularization of all adhoc and contractual pharmacist, inclusion of Pharmacist post in DH, SDH, CHC, PHC, fixing 10+2 with science as basic qualification for departmental training of IVth class of employees for the Pharmacist category, etc.
