UDHAMPUR, May 5: Senior Congress leader and State Secretary of Indian National Trade Union Congress, Sumit Magotra today drew attention of Government towards poor functioning of the District Hospital Udhampur.
In a press conference, he alleged that rough attitude and misbehaviour with poor patients by the authorities was a common practice in the District Hospital Udhampur where medicines of Government supply are given only to the influential patients while others have to purchase the same from market. He further alleged that a low price Government medicine shop located inside the District Hospital has not full range and sufficient medicines.
About two months back a memorandum of mentioned problems was submitted to Chief Medical Officer Udhampur for appropriate action but no action has been taken in this regard,” he said and warned an agitation if necessary measures are not taken within a period of one week.
