JAMMU, Nov 14: Dogra College of Education held a programme with enthusiasm and grandeur, welcoming new students and entrusting them with leadership roles.
The event, organized by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell and Social Cultural Committee, began with the lighting of a traditional lamp symbolizing knowledge, followed by a warm welcome address by Student Council President Ekta.
The ceremony included a poetry recital by Shallani Choudhary, a cultural Dogri folk song by Meena Langeh, and a PowerPoint presentation on college life by CRs Riya Sharma and Priya Sharma. In the investiture segment, elected Class Representatives and Student Council members received badges and took an oath to serve with dedication. A lively ramp walk and Q&A round culminated in the crowning of Mr. and Ms. Fresher 2024, adding excitement to the event.
Chief guest Th. Gulchain Singh Charak, ex-Minister and Chairman of Dogra Educational Trust, emphasized discipline and talent recognition. Dr. Samar Dev Singh Charak, Secretary, also addressed the gathering. The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks by Mehak and a group photograph, marking a memorable start for the new academic journey.
