JAMMU, Nov 22: With a valedictory ceremony, the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Jammu today concluded the Nurturing Future Leadership Programme, which was being held under the aegis of the Malaviya Mission Teacher Training Programme, Ministry of Education, Govt of India.
The program, held from 18th November to 22nd Nov 2024, aimed to equip educators with essential leadership skills. The valedictory ceremony was graced by the presence of Prof B S Sahay, Director, IIM Jammu.
Prof Sahay emphasized the crucial role of educators in shaping the future and invited suggestions for further enhancing the program. He commended the Ministry of Education for their initiative and stressed the alignment of the program’s objectives with national educational goals. He remarked that receiving feedback from faculty colleagues is heartening and provides significant motivation to the faculty members at the Institute.
He highlighted the importance of the five-day program and emphasized that IIM Jammu and its faculty members are open to collaborating on joint research papers, with all faculty profiles available on the institute’s website. This openness and transparency at the Institute aims to foster connections and collaborative work in the interest of academia and the nation, he added.
Dr Ateeque Shaikh, Program Chair and Chairperson, Executive Education and Consultancy IIM Jammu, highlighted that the Nurturing Future Leadership Programme successfully achieved its objectives and met the participants expectations. He emphasized that the valedictory ceremony marks not the end but thebeginning of a new journey, fostering a strong network amongst yourselves for knowledgesharing and collaboration.
Present on the occasion were Dr Pratik Maheshwari, Program Chair and Co-Chairperson, Executive Education, IIM Jammu. This was followed by the distribution of certificates to all the participants. Dr Pratik Maheshwari Program Director, IIM Jammu,proposed the vote of thanks.
