JAMMU, Nov 23: The Junior wing of KC Public School was abuzz with excitement and joy this morning as it celebrated the ‘Nimble Feet Fitness Fest’ — a grand celebration of vibrant costumes, captivating performances and remarkable coordination.
The theme of this year’s fest was ‘Round Square Super Heroes’ which have been developed recently to represent the 12 discoveries of the Round Square Discovery Framework (RSDF) which young students make in the course of their education in a Round Square School. These discoveries are Ability to Solve Problems, Appreciation for Diversity, Commitment to Sustainability, Communication Skills, Compassion, Courage, Inquisitiveness, Inventiveness, Self-awareness, Sense of Responsibility, Teamwork Skills and Tenacity.
The annual event began with an introduction to these Super Heroes and concluded with a dance glorifying their significance in character building. Anuradha Thakur (OSD Youth Mission, J&K) presided over the function as chief guest. Principal Amarendra Kumar Mishra presented an inspiring report on Junior School activities in the current academic year.
The cultural programme on the occasion consisted of an invocation dance to Lord Ganesha, a vibrant March Past and an impressive display of Yoga, Karate, Wushu, Roller Skating and rhythmic and melodious medley of songs and dances.
Addressing the gathering, the Chief Guest emphasized the critical role of co-curricular activities in a school following a holistic system of education.
