JAMMU, Nov 24: The first edition of Amritsar Half Marathon, a Victory Run organized by Panther Division of Indian Army witnessed enthusiastic participation from runners from across the country. Starting from Somnath Ground, Khasa and culminating at the historic Attari Border, the event celebrated fitness, patriotism and the spirit of victory.
Runners from Jammu made their mark with commendable performance as Sukreet Gupta and Tejbir Singh participated in the 10 km category, showcasing grit and determination.
Harmeek Singh completed the Half Marathon (21.1 km) in an impressive 1 hour 57 minutes.
Sudhir Anand achieved a spectacular milestone by finishing the Half Marathon in just 1 hour 31 minutes, securing 1st position in the 40+ age category.
All four runners-Sukreet, Tejbir, Harmeek and Sudhir-are also part of the organizing committee for the Jammu Midnight Marathon Season 2, scheduled for November 30 – December 1, 2024, at Maulana Azad Stadium, Jammu.
