POONCH, May 9: Continuing with the mission of J&K Police of providing platform to the talented youth with the objective of channelizing their energy/talent in a positive manner, District Police Poonch organized a volleyball tournament at Degree College Ground, here today.
The tournament was today declared open by Shamsheer Hussain, SP Poonch in presence of large number of prominent citizens and volleyball lovers.
The inaugural match was played between Shaheed Manjeet Singh Volleyball Club and Kalai Volleyball Club which was won by Shaheed Manjeet Singh club by (25-13, 25-9) sets.
The 2nd match was played between Police Volleyball team and Pintu Club Poonch which was won by Pintu Club Poonch.
Speaking on the occasion, SP Poonch said that the District Police Poonch is providing platform to the youth for displaying their talent which helps in furthering of their skill besides channelizing their energy in a positive manner.
He exhorted upon the gathering especially youth to contribute for maintaining the integrity, sovereignty and communal harmony of the great democracy of the world.
DySP DAR, Khalid Amin and DySP Hqrs Deepak Digra were also present on the occasion.
