SRINAGAR, Nov 28: Real Kashmir Football Club (RKFC) is set to face Gokulam Kerala FC in an exciting I-League clash tomorrow, at the TRC Ground in Srinagar. The match, kicking off at 2 pm, follows RKFC’s impressive opening victory against Rajasthan United FC.
At the pre-match press conference, RKFC head coach Ishfaq Ahmad acknowledged the challenge posed by Gokulam Kerala, a former I-League champion. “It will be a tough game, but our boys are ready to deliver positive results,” he said. Ishfaq emphasized the importance of local support and called on fans to turn up in large numbers, as they did in the previous match.
Highlighting improvements in sports infrastructure, Ishfaq noted that much more needs to be done to elevate facilities in Kashmir to national standards. RKFC player Lalramdinsanga Ralte expressed excitement about the game, while Gokulam Kerala’s head coach Antonio Rueda admitted the difficulty of playing in Srinagar but remained confident in his team’s preparation.
RKFC co-founder Arshad Shawl reiterated the club’s commitment to promoting football in Kashmir, urging fans to back the team. As the only club from Jammu & Kashmir in the I-League, RKFC continues to inspire football enthusiasts in the region.
