RAJOURI, Nov 28: In a distressing incident that highlights the absence of basic infrastructure in remote Budhal tehsil, a sick woman from Panchayat Rajnagar, Upper Gabbar Ward No 6 (Budhal), was carried on a cot by locals to the nearest hospital due to the complete lack of road connectivity.
The remote area home to around 65 households has long struggled with this critical issue severely affecting the lives of its residents. Former Naib Sarpanch Arshad Mir voiced his concern, stating it is heart-wrenching to see residents facing such hardships, especially during medical emergencies.
Repeated pleas to the authorities for road construction have fallen on deaf ears. The absence of roads has not only made accessing healthcare a daunting task but also hindered education economic activities and overall development in the region. Local residents are compelled to traverse rugged terrain for essential services placing immense physical and emotional strain on the community.
Residents have issued a fervent appeal to the district administration, Rajouri urging immediate action to construct a road to serve their area. “This situation is unacceptable. We request the government to prioritize this basic need to prevent further suffering,” a local resident remarked.
