JAMMU, Dec 1: The second edition of the Bharat Premier League (BPL) was inaugurated today by Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo in Jammu. The event witnessed the presence of notable dignitaries, including Nuzhat Gull, Secretary of the J&K Sports Council, and other prominent personalities.
In his address, Atal Dulloo highlighted the participation of 50 teams, including four featuring visually impaired players, emphasizing the inclusive nature of the tournament. He remarked, “Addiction to sports is far better than addiction to drugs,” applauding the efforts of the organizing team, Rising Athletes, for their commitment to promoting sports in the Union Territory.
The event began with a welcome address by Sahil Pandita, President of Rising Athletes. Prominent social activist Sanjay Saraf and Brigadier Vijay Sagar Dheman were also present, lending their support to this inspiring initiative.
The Bharat Premier Cricket League continues to inspire communities by fostering sportsmanship and inclusivity, setting a remarkable example for societal upliftment through sports.
