SRINAGAR, Dec 2: The All J&K Chess Under-9 Boys & Girls UT Level Chess Championship 2024 concluded today at Srinagar Sports Club, showcasing impressive talent and sportsmanship among young chess enthusiasts.
The tournament, organized by the All J&K Chess Association under the J&K State Sports Council, saw participants competing fiercely across both boys’ and girls’ categories. The top players from each category included Hamzah Malik, Malik Huzaif Bin Zahid, Aashman Upmanyu, Eshael Rouf, and Hoor Fatima. These talented young players demonstrated exceptional strategic thinking and skills throughout the competition. As a result of their outstanding performance, the top two players from each category will represent the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir at the 37th National Under-9 Open & Girls Chess Championship 2024. This prestigious event will be held in Maharashtra from December 27 to 2 January, providing the players an opportunity to compete on a national stage.
