DC Kargil gives Rs 50,000 award to bronze medallist

KARGIL, Dec 3: Deputy Commissioner Kargil, Shrikant Suse, held a special felicitation ceremony to honor Rinchen Youdol, the Bronze Medalist at the 1st World Para Poomsae Taekwondo Championship held in Bahrain. Rinchen was recognized for her outstanding achievement, which marks a historic milestone for Ladakh in international sports.
The DC Kargil presented Rinchen with traditional Khataks, a memento and announced a cash award of Rs. 50,000 as a token of appreciation. He also praised her dedication and assured her of full support for her future training and preparation for the upcoming Asian Championship.
Chief Planning Officer Kargil, Abdul Hadi, was also present on the occasion and presented Khataks to Rinchen.
She was accompanied by her mother, General Secretary of Ladakh Taekwondo Association Anayat Ali Shotopa, Incharge SAI Centre Kargil Ghulam Mustafa, and her coach, Mohd Ali.
In a gesture of gratitude, DC Kargil also felicitated Coach Mohd Ali with traditional Khataks, acknowledging his significant efforts in training and guiding Rinchen to achieve international success. He commended the coach’s role in nurturing local talent and elevating Ladakh’s reputation in the sports arena.
