JAMMU, Dec 3: Atula Gupta, a former senior handball player from Jammu & Kashmir, has been appointed as a technical official for the 20th Asian Women’s Handball Championship. The tournament, hosted at the IGI Stadium in New Delhi, will take place from December 3 to 10.
As per the handout, the announcement was made by Dr Tej Raj Singh, General Secretary of the Handball Association of India. Over 20 states and Union Territories will be participating in the event. Atula Gupta expressed that the championship would provide a platform for Indian players to demonstrate their skills and sportsmanship. With her vast experience in handball, Gupta is confident that her role will contribute to the smooth conduct of the tournament.
