HM ultra taken on remand

JAMMU, May 11: Pathankot police today took eight days remand of Hizbul Mujahideen militant Ravish-ul-Islam of Pulwama, who was arrested yesterday by the police at Chakki Bank railway station in Pathankot district of Punjab yesterday from Sealdah Express.
Reports said a district police Kathua has also deputed a senior police officer to Pathankot for maintaining liaison with police there and assist them in interrogation of the militant, who was arrested yesterday with two pistols and ammunition.
Pathankot police today produced the militant before a local court in the district and took him on eight days remand for sustained interrogation to ascertain his links with the militants.
A Kathua police team headed by a senior officer has been deputed to Pathankot by SSP Kathua Mohan Lal to assist the police there in interrogation of the militant and find out his involvement in the militancy.
As reported, Ravish-ul-Islam was arrested yesterday by Pathankot police from Sealdah Express as soon as the train reached Chakki Bank railway station.
Sources said Pathankot police had specific input about movement of the militant in the train and they had laid naka at the railway station and sealed all exit routes before arrival of the train.
